Exciting!

I got an email this afternoon saying that our adoption agreement was processed with AWAA!! I am so excited!! Now, we just have to wait to hear from our Family Coordinator and our Social Worker.

I'm so ready to get started on the paperchase!! It is such a long process and I'm ready to get in there and get my hands dirty! ;) So, that's our exciting stuff for today!

Also, my mom and I took the girls to Olive Garden for lunch today. It was a lot of fun and it's pretty much my favorite restaurant, so that's a plus. While we were there, two different waitresses came over to us and guessed how old Addison is. The first one guessed 6 months. HAHA! And then the second chick, half an hour later, guessed 5 months old! Oh my word! I guess I need to start fattening up my little, huh?? :D It was pretty funny, since she'll be TEN months old in two days!! BAHAHAHA!!

I've been praying that our first donation will come in the mail this week. It hasn't come yet, but I know it will. Hopefully we'll get one tomorrow!! I'm keeping the faith! And even if it doesn't come tomorrow? The Lord is still GOOD.

I just finished reading Little Bee today. It's a really good book. I borrowed it from my mom who borrowed it from a friend. I had no idea that there was anything about Africa in it when I asked to borrow it and my mom told me nothing about it. And, lo and behold, it's about an African girl! It's a great read. That's all I'm gonna say about it, though.

I also ordered There Is No Me Without You, Say You're One of Them and We Wish to Inform You that Tomorrow We Will Be Killed with Our Families today. Yeah, the last one has a long and scary title, but you know what? I'm not shying away. The last one is about the Rwandan genocide that happened in 1994. I will not fool myself into thinking these things aren't happening over there. And I am going to immerse myself in as much African and adoption stuff that I can. I also have a ton of books sitting here to read, too. The books were a little treat to myself for my upcoming birthday! :)

Um, I think that's all for now. Addi's tooth is still coming in strong and she's crawling all over the place. Makayla is the coolest 3 year old in the world. She's hilarious and she always says, 'I can't believe it!' And sometimes she'll go, 'Awwww!' and put her hands over her mouth in the sweetest way. I honestly have the greatest kids ever. And I can't wait to get our sweet third child!!! Gah, I'm so thrilled. That's all I can say. I'm SO thrilled!!!!

P.S. While I was writing this, my mom has been playing with Makayla on the couch and they're coloring in my mom's Sudoku book and all of a sudden, M goes, 'Mommy, PLOP!' and throws herself back on the pillow laying on the couch! See? She's so rad. Also, that was a very big run on sentence and I'm okay with that. :)

Hi Lindsey,

I am a fellow AWAA Mom. :-)
Both of the books you ordered are excellent reads! Emotional and life altering, but still excellent.
