Life and Stuff.

Well, I've been doing more crafts. Thinking a lot about stuff that's been going on in my life. Recovering from Makayla's birthday party. I can't believe it's Wednesday already!

Let's start with the crafts. On Friday, I made this gorgeous little necklace. I have been eyeballing these necklaces on Etsy for a LONG time and then I found a tutorial on how to make them on Pinterest! So, I did! And I had everything on hand but the wire...a $1.99 necklace...don't mind if I do! Plus, I have tons of wire left over for other projects, so I guess it was even less than $1.99! :)

It's a nest with my three little baby eggs inside! :)

Saturday morning (yes, before M's party and yes, I'm crazy), I recovered this lamp shade. This lamp was in Addi's room for a long time, but we finally got her a proper night light for Christmas, so it became mine! It was bright pink before which just did not go with our bedroom. Enter a sham from our bedding set and...

You can still see the pink through it, so I might recover it again. For now, I like it.

Today, I decided to make this pennant banner thing that's floating around the internet everywhere. I've been itching to make one, but didn't know where I'd put it. Then, I thought it'd look fab in Addi's room, so there it goes!

I'm not a huge fan of how it's all laying, so I will be putting it ABOVE the window tomorrow.

And then this evening, Adam went out to hang with Brennan and discuss their game and stuff, so I was left all alone with my computer, a canvas and some Christmas scrapbook paper. What's a girl to do?! Find a great DIY, that's what!

Now you're all caught up on crafts this week. I'm really happy with how productive I've been lately. Just don't ask me what time I've been going to bed. Orrrrr, if I've been waking up early to read my Bible every day....I'm still working on it. :/ Old habits die hard and all that.

Okay, on to other things. Makayla's birthday party! It was a blast! She had the time of her life and was SO excited that everyone came to celebrate HER! She got some awesome presents and it was an all around fun time. We'll just let the pictures do the talking.

Okay, so I didn't take that many pictures and I totally didn't take any pictures of anyone who came! So, thank you to everyone that came to Makayla's party!! We so enjoyed having all of you and are so thankful that you are all a part of our sweet girl's life. <3

Also, just a few things I don't want to forget and I know I haven't written around this here blog.

•Makayla started writing her first name in October. Yep, before she turned 4! Her last name in December. :)

•Addison does the cutest thing when she pushes her hair out of her face. She uses the back of her hand. I'm gonna have to get it on video. It's adorable.

•Yesterday, January 10th, Addison and I were playing with this toy that we got her for Christmas where all the animals pop up when you do something like push a button or slide a thing or whatever. So, all the animals were up and I pointed to each one and said, 'Nose'. Then I pointed to hers, mine and M's noses. Then, Addi went to each little animal and said, 'No'! This is huge!! It didn't sound like no, but I don't really know how else to write it, but she was saying nose!!!!!!! :)

•Also yesterday, before I put Addi down for bedtime, I showed her how to blow kisses and she picked it up right away. And now she does it every single time!!! It's the little things.

That's it for tonight. Gotta go finish my book and maybe watch Parenthood once Adam gets home. :D
