This Week

We've been kinda busy this week, but not really with anything special. That probably doesn't make sense, so I'll just share what we've been doing.

Well, we're still sick around here, so that's fun. Oh wait, no it's not. I have been sleeping horribly the past few nights because I keep waking myself up from coughing. It's awful. Makayla kept doing that last weekend, but luckily she's stopped.

Saturday we went to a birthday party for our good friend, Janelle. It was nice to get to see everyone and hang out, though I wasn't feeling good, so I just sat in a chair and everyone came and talked to me. HA! Also Saturday morning, we went to Babies R Us and registered for our new little one. All we really need is big stuff, so that's what we registered for. It was fun, but Makayla kept running all over the store and we had to chase her around. HA! We mostly just registered there because I had this coupon for a free $10 gift card if it was our first time registering there. We bought the babe an adorable little dress, though. LOVE it!

Sunday we just went to church, as usual and then got Panda Express for lunch. We have started our new rule...we only go out to eat together on Thursday nights (for date night, but as a family) and Sunday afternoons for dinner. I've been really good about planning meals and actually making them for the past two weeks. I'm rather proud of myself! Then we just hung out, I think. I can't remember.

So on Monday, M and I went for a walk to the park that's waaaaaaaay down the street. It was totally worth it, though. It was a beautiful sunny day and the perfect day to take my girl to the park. She had a blast and totally didn't want to leave. I did some dishes since they seem to constantly accumulate around here and washed some of Makayla's old clothes for the new baby. I figured since I have them already, I might as well get started being prepared. I don't care if it's early. I like to be ready! :) I also made dinner before we even went for a walk. It was a pizza casserole thing that had to be refrigerated for a while, so it was perfect. I had class and then when I came home, I went through Makayla's older clothes and sorted them by size to put back in the bins for a later date.

Tuesday we didn't do anything special. Our friend Josh came over to watch M so I could take a shower in the morning and then I went to lunch with Brenna at Subway. I had to return two books to the library and then return something I bought for my art class, which I don't need. But I got $15 back, so yay for that! I sorted the clean clothes and put them all in piles in the closet while Makayla took her nap. Everything is washed from newborn to 6 months. I was going to start making the baby blanket, but then decided against it. It seems like every time I get motivated enough to do it, I don't want to. Weird, right? I also watched The Bachelor while M napped. Oh yeah! I got my diaper bag this day!! I am totally stoked for it! It's so beautiful and I'm SO happy it's mine!!! This is the one I got. LOVE.

On Wednesday I woke up before Makayla and took a shower. It was so nice because usually I just wait until her nap to get one and then we end up not really going anywhere for the day. I had big plans to hang out with this girl we met at church on Sunday, but she didn't answer her phone or call me back, so I just changed my plans. We went to Solano College so I could sign up for the GI Bill for this semester. I waited a really long time, but it's done now, so that's good. After that we went to Target in Fairfield, which is WAY scary. There are all these mexicans that are standing around waiting for a job for the day. Not cool. We just need a couple things, so after that we got lunch at Chipotle to take home. M napped and I read. She slept for 3 hours, though, so once I started getting tired, I napped for 2 hours. It was glorious! I also washed all the gender neutral clothes that I set aside a while ago for the new babe. I still have to sort through them and add them to the piles, but they're clean! We also went to a going away party for our friend/missionary, Gina, at our friend, Rachel's house. It was really nice and we are so glad Gina gets to go to Ecuador, even though we'll miss her!!

Today we did nothing. Oh wait, I made peanut butter cookies, but they totally sucked. Once Adam got home, since today is our day to go out to eat, we went to Nut Tree Park to play with M for a while. Then we walked over to Border's so she could read some books and then we went to Fenton's for dinner. It's not really that good, but I just couldn't decide what I wanted to eat! It's so hard when you know there's only one time a week when you're going to go out to eat. And this week was my turn to choose. Oh well, there's always two weeks from now. :) And today I washed all the baby's blankets...M's receiving blankets and some other ones, too. They're all clean and in her closet now. :D

So that's been our week so far. Tomorrow we're having some friends over for dinner and I'm making a Cheesy Tortellini thing in the CrockPot, so we'll see how that goes. Saturday we're not doing anything and then Sunday, we are getting a babysitter and going out for VDay!!! Yeah!
