I am SO swamped with school right now. I love it and I hate it.
I feel like I have way less time with Makayla and Adam than I normally do.
I love it because I have something to look forward to almost every day. Something to get ready for. But this week I've been almost late every day because I get up too late and have to rush to get ready and get M breakfast. Ugh.

Everything in life is such a struggle of balance. I need to find balance in my life. With chores, with spending time with the people I love, with teaching Makayla, with doing my homework, with my small group and church. AND on top of all of that, there's a girl in my class that wants me to tutor her! And someone else needs my book every week for one of my classes. And another girl needs me to email her the questions for each chapter for one of my other classes. OMG.

I have a term paper due on the 28th and then another presentation due on Oct. 8th. Then someone from a tutoring center from my church is coming to speak to one of my classes on Oct. 14th. There's just so much I have to worry about!

I also have to pay all of my childcare providers. It's been kind of a crazy hectic whirlwind around here, in case you couldn't tell. I think I'm dealing okay, though.

I just get pretty stressed out sometimes.

I have also decided to start researching homeschooling, as well. It really intrigues me and I am seriously considering it for Makayla and any other children we may have in the future. I LOVE staying home with M right now, so why stop that just because she should be going to school? And the socialization part? Well, we have our church for that and I guarantee you that if we choose that route, our child(ren) will have NO problem being socialized. I mean, she's got me and Adam as parents. Duh! :)

So I have read one book on that and finished reading two other books as well. I like being busy, though. But sometimes, it kind of stinks to have so much stuff to do, ya know? And some of it is voluntary, like reading, but I heart it so much that I'm not going to stop just because I've got other things going on. It's all about the balance.

It helps when Makayla takes three hour naps, though. Now if only I would use that time to my benefit....

I STILL struggle with being on time. I hate waking up early and nothing ever goes perfectly smooth in the mornings. I've had 3.5 years to work on it too. And you can imagine what happens when you throw a second child into that mix ;).

Hope you can get all of that figured out well. I don't know Adam, but I know with you as a mom, M won't have any socialization problems if homeschooled!

Don't homeschool!! I've met several homeschooled kids over the years and they are all weird...not necessarily creepy weird, but that lack of true socialization that you get by spending 8 hours a day with your peers really does affect them. I can see why you would want to do it but I personally don't think it is good for kids. They just really don't turn out as well-adjusted as the proponents of homeschooling like to pretend. Just my 2 cents....
