My 21 Month Old!

I really can't believe we've come this far. In just three short months, my little girl will be 2 years old! So, what has Makayla been up to lately? Let's see...

•She knows what a duck is. She's been able to say duck for a long time, but just this week she has started to say duck when she sees a picture in her book, sees her little duck stuffed animal or any rubber duckies. She gets really excited and comes yelling at me saying, 'Duck! Duck!'

•She usually takes 2 1/2 to 3 hour naps every day. Some days it's shorter, but I think since we're on the go so much she gets worn out faster and really wants that long nap in the middle of the day. Mommy is totally cool with that!!

•She just learned how to say 'dog' properly. She used to say it and we knew what it meant, but now she says it so clearly! She also kind of sounds like a little English child when she says it.

•She can say door, back, walk, poo-poo, sit, story.

•She just recently started saying, 'Mom. Mom. Mom.' when she has something she doesn't want anymore. Or when she sees something she wants. It's a great alternative to her old ways, which was whining and crying for everything. She says it rather calmly, too.

•She loves to do anything and everything. She is constantly exploring her world, learning boundaries and figuring out how things work.

Since I'm taking early childhood classes, this time is perfect for us! I love learning how I can help her learn more. I know that sounds silly, but it's so true!
