Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!!

About two hours ago, Makayla was on her tummy for the usual tummy time moments during the day....nothing out of the ordinary....

And then, she starts getting mad and she's all yelling at me, Mom! Get me off my belly!
And I'm all, No! Not until you do something awesome!

And then she does it!
She flipping got on all fours! Twice! Granted it was only for a second each time, but yay!!!

We'll have a lil crawler before we know it and I could not be happier! I mean, on the one hand, I don't want her to grow up anymore, but on the other hand, I am so very much excited for every new milestone that she hits!

It really does not get any better than this. She rocks.

Oh and this morning, she was laying on her belly, about to go back to sleep, but I flipped out and rolled her over and bam! She was wide awake. Duh Mom, you just woke me up.

So, has this happened to anyone else? Should I just let her stay on her belly if she rolls over and wants to sleep like that? When does the risk of SIDS lower? 4 months? Well, she's 6 months, so we're good? I'm so nervous about this.

Any help would be very much appreciated. From anyone.

I think once they can roll themselves onto their tummy, you might as well leave them that way. I think the risk is past. My son did the same thing and he sleeps almost always on his tummy now!

congrats friend!!

it must be milestone day for everyone!!

as for the flipping - leave her!! i was sooo worried when beans did this too, but a friend told me that if she can get herself there she can get herself back. which means she's fine.

although not gonna lie, i checked on her a billion times!!

but in our case anyways, beans started sleeping even better when she learned to belly sleep :)
